Freight Solutions Simplified · Australia Wide

We cut your freight costs. You cut the workload.

We audit your current import or export process, apply the buying power of our network of trusted carrier and agent partners to cut your rates, then coordinate the customs clearance, freight and transport through that network — so you spend less, manage less, and in many cases need less freight headcount in-house.

How we help

A freight consultancy, not just a forwarder.

We plug into the importing or exporting you're already doing and run it through our buying power — so you spend less, manage less, and still get it delivered end-to-end by our extensive network of trusted partners.

Why switch · 01

Lower cost

We negotiate as a group across our carrier and agent network, then pass the buying-power rate on to you — often better than going direct, and better than a typical single-client provider can offer.

Why switch · 02

Less workload

Booking, tracking, customs paperwork, carrier chasing — we coordinate the day-to-day with our partners, so your team spends less time managing freight and more time running the business.

Why switch · 03

A trusted network

Every part of your supply chain — freight, customs clearance, transport and warehousing — is delivered by our extensive network of trusted partners. You get specialist execution at each step, with one point of contact managing it all.

Who we are

Freight for every business, big or small.

Our mission

To provide cost effective freight forwarding solutions that can be affordable to every business while ensuring that our service is not compromised.

Committed to industry leadership

Excellent, cost-effective service across the supply chain — overseas transport, ocean and air freight, customs clearance, container cartage, warehousing and distribution.

Our background

Our foundation is industry expertise spanning two decades in freight, customs clearance and import services. Our leadership identified gaps in competitor service models and built solutions around quality and cost efficiency — including guaranteeing competitive pricing against written competitor quotes.

Service philosophy

We understand the needs of small-to-medium businesses, unlike multinational corporations that apply the same service model regardless of client size. We tailor freight solutions to your business rather than offering one-size-fits-all.

Core values

“Your business is our business.” When your business grows, our partnership can last — and we define success by service levels that exceed industry standards.

Our approach

Small and medium importers welcome

Importing should be a simple task for all importers. Most freight providers and customs clearance agents ignore small to medium-sized importers — we don't. We have over 20 years of combined experience, so let us take the headaches off you and make importing a breeze.

Our strengths

Why clients stay

A global agent network for competitive rates, a focus on service quality and attention to detail, industry experience and expertise, and end-to-end supply chain solutions. No import is too big or too small for us to handle.

One point of contact

Fewer relationships. Bigger leverage.

When growth outpaces process, freight turns into a juggling act. We fold your carriers, agents and transport companies into a single relationship — and put our combined volume to work on your rates.

Delivered by our network

The partners behind the consultancy.

Every engagement is backed by an extensive network of trusted partners across freight, clearance, transport and warehousing — not just advice. One point of contact — no chasing your carrier, your clearance agent and your transport company separately.

Import & Export Freight

Import and export freight forwarding services when importing to Australia. “Being a small business we understand the importance of high service levels when running on lean resources.” With over 20 years of combined industry experience, we coordinate cost-effective import and export services through our partner network and aim to simplify freight forwarding and customs clearance — and we keep you informed about every consignment.

Beware of hidden costs

We're transparent about pricing. Rather than allowing unexpected charges, we identify ways you can reduce expenses — the lower the freight and supply chain costs, the higher your profit margins when you sell your cargo.

You receive the most accurate information

We tell you promptly about delays or issues affecting your shipment, so you can manage inventory and adjust customer orders accordingly.

We simplify the process

We act as a consultant, managing your supply chain needs from supplier to final delivery through our network of trusted partners. At Unified Freight Solutions, there is no import too big or too small for us to take on.

FAQ

Quick answers.

What are the costs involved when importing to Australia?
Importing costs typically include overseas documentation and transport fees, origin port charges, ocean freight, Australian port charges, customs duty and GST, and destination transport. Other variables include fumigation fees and DAFF biosecurity screening fees. Storage fees may apply if documentation delays clearance.
What documents are required for importing commercial goods?
The basic documentation is a Bill of Lading, a Commercial Invoice and a Suppliers Packing Declaration — though additional documents may be required depending on the type of product. Read more about the compulsory documents.
Do I need Marine Insurance?
We recommend marine insurance unless the shipper is offering CIF terms (Cost, Insurance and Freight). It protects you against claims for damage or loss.
Do I need the Original Bill of Lading to clear my shipment?
There are two alternatives: ask your supplier for a Telex release or Express release of the bill of lading, or have it cut as a Seaway Bill. These are the only ways you can avoid needing an original bill.
What are INCO-TERMS or Terms of Purchase?
Please contact us and we'll explain which terms suit your purchase.
What is a free freight audit?
We review what you're currently shipping, who it's with and what you're paying, then show you where our buying power and a simpler process could make a difference. It's free and there's no obligation.
Who handles customs clearance and delivery?
Every part of the supply chain — clearance, duty and GST valuations, biosecurity processing, container transport and warehousing — is delivered through our extensive network of trusted partners, with Unified Freight Solutions as your single point of contact.
Where do you operate?
Australia wide, with an agent network across the US, Europe and South Asia for your international legs.
Will I need to change how my freight moves?
No. How your freight physically moves doesn't change. What changes is how it's priced and managed — one point of contact, buying-power rates through our partner network and less coordination for your team.
What types of cargo can you move?
FCL and LCL sea freight, air freight, breakbulk and project cargo, plus domestic container cartage across side-loader, flatbed and tautliner fleets.
